TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Booking
 

a) Open Events (Practice and Races)

 

  • Full payment must be made at the time of booking to guarantee your space(s).

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that all details are correct at the time of booking.

  • All payments are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • You must arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure we can register you before your session. No refund or transfer will be made for those who are late.

  • In the event that your sessions cannot take place due to a reason beyond the control of SIM Motorsport Ltd, you will be entitled to a credit to use at a later date.

Your booking reserves only the number of spaces stated in your confirmation. Whilst we may have spare capacity on the day we cannot guarantee this. Please contact us to confirm whether extra spaces are available.


b) Exclusive / Private Events 

​

  • A deposit of 50% is payable at the time of booking, this is non-refundable.

  • If catering is being pre-booked, this must be paid in full at the time of booking to ensure we are able to stock accordingly.

  • The full balance of your event is payable 14 days prior to your event.

  • Once booked, you cannot reduce the number of drivers, but you may increase them if we have spare capacity.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that all details are correct at the time of booking.

  • All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

c) E-Gift Vouchers

 

  • E-Gift Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

  • No cash alternative is available.

  • Vouchers are valid only for the event specified on the voucher, if specified.

  • Vouchers are single use only and non-refundable.

  • Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

  • When booking, you must disclose the voucher number. Once a space is now reserved, you cannot move your booking.

  • Restrictions may apply when booking and places are offered on a first come, first served basis.

  • Our SIM Motorsport vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

  • If an event is not booked to take place during this period, the voucher lapses and we are entitled to retain all monies paid.

  • Voucher validity can sometimes be extended subject to an additional charge. 


d) Promotions

​

  • No cash alternative is available.

  • Promotions cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

  • If your promotion is related to a membership club (e.g. BRSCC / Blue Light Card etc), then the member must be one of the drivers for the booking. Proof of membership and ID must be shown on arrival at the race centre. Lack of membership card and / or ID will result in the full session price being payable or the session will be forfeited with no refund. 

  • Restrictions may apply when booking and places are offered on a first come, first served basis.

  • SIM Motorsport Ltd reserves the right to withdraw a promotion at any time.


e) Online Bookings

 

By using our online booking system, you agree for us to use your email address for direct marketing. You can opt out of this at any time by clicking 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of our emails or by writing to sales@simmotorsport.co.uk with 'unsubscribe' in the title.


f) Refund/ Cancellation Policy

 

  • All bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • This applies in all circumstances except when SIM Motorsport Ltd cannot accommodate your booking for reasons within its control.

  • In cases that a booking cannot be delivered upon due to circumstances out of its control, SIM Motorsport Ltd will arrange for the event to be rescheduled for a mutually convenient time.

Restrictions on use

 

a) Age

 

  • The minimum age for use of the simulators is 14 years old.

  • Under 16s are not permitted in the venue after 9pm, unless escorted by a responsible adult.


b) Size

​

  • The minimum height to use a simulator is 153cm (5 foot 0 inches), however this may vary from person to person.

  • Whilst we are able to adjust the height of our simulators, we strongly suggest that any driver that is within the following criteria requests a private seat fitting to ensure your suitability:

  1. Drivers below 153cm (5 foot)

  2. Drivers above 193cm (6 foot 4 inches)

  3. Drivers above 114kg or 18 stone

If you fall outside these measurements, please contact us so that we can advise further.

 

c) Medical Conditions

​

  • The SIM Motorsport simulators provide varying degrees of motion, through steering, suspension and harness heave. It is the responsibility of the participant to inform SIM Motorsport Ltd of any existing medical conditions so we can advise you on whether it is safe for you to race. It is your responsibility to decide if it is safe for you to participate with your medical conditions. 

  • The list of conditions you must advise us on includes (but is not limited to) heart conditions, back conditions and epilepsy.

  • Unfortunately you may not participate whilst pregnant.


Behaviour and Attitude

 

a) Threatening behaviour.

  • Anti-social or aggressive behaviour towards anyone (staff or other visitors) whilst at the venue will not be tolerated. SIM Motorsport Ltd reserves the right to refuse access to our facilities and remove anyone for our venue.​

b) Language

  • Whilst we appreciate that simulator racing is adrenalin inducing, we request that all drivers do not use inappropriate, or controversial language whilst on site and whilst driving.  Following a warning,  SIM Motorsport Ltd reserves the right to remove individuals from the simulators and the venue for repeat abuse.

c) Treatment of Equipment

  • The use of simulators is provided subject to them being treated in a respectable fashion. If you are found to have been wilfully or deliberately damaging equipment we will ask you to pay for repairs. Additionally, if the damage causes the business to loses custom we may seek additional compensation.

 

d) Arriving and leaving the premises

  • The Race Centre is situated within a residential area and we request that our visitors respect our neighbours. Please ensure that you leave / arrive with respect for the local residents. SIM Motorsport Ltd reserves the right to refuse access to our facilities and remove anyone for our venue.​


Liability

​​

  • Drivers participate at their own risk.

  • SIM Motorsport Ltd accepts no responsibility for any injuries, accidents or illness caused at the venue for drivers, spectators or visitors.

  • SIM Motorsport Ltd accepts no responsibility for the possessions of drivers, spectators and visitors. We advise that individuals do not bring valuable possessions into the venue, and if they must they should be on their person at all times. SIM Motorsport Ltd accepts no liability for damage of items caused by the use of simulators.

 

Provision of Catering and Bar Facilities

 

  • Only food and drink purchased on site may be consumed at the venue.

  • Catering is subject to availability

  • If you wish to provide your own catering, you may be required to pay a cover charge of £15 per person.

  • SIM Motorsport Ltd may restrict the provision of alcohol if deemed appropriate or in the interests of other guests.

 

Parking 

​

  • Parking for up to four hours, free of charge, is available on site on a first come first served basis. Alternative parking arrangements are also available - details are on the website.

  • It is the responsibility of the visitor to park in the correct parking bays. 

  • SIM Motorsport Ltd accepts no responsibility for any charges incurred by visitors.
